We are talking about Sunil Grover, who once struggled to earn just Rs 500 a month. In an interview, Sunil recalled his difficult days in Mumbai when he was unemployed.
Actor Sunil Grover, who caught everyone’s attention with his character Gutthi in Comedy Nights with Kapil, told Humans of Bombay, “After completing my master’s degree in theatre, I moved to Mumbai to pursue acting. But in the first year, I did nothing except partying.”
Sunil said, ‘I used to live in a posh area using my savings and some money I got from home. But I thought that I don’t need to worry because I will become successful and earn more soon.’ But during his struggling days, the actor could hardly earn even Rs 500.
The actor said, ‘But it did not take me long to realize that there were many people like me, who were ‘superstars’ of their city and were struggling here. Soon I was left with no income.’
While talking to ETimes, the comedian further said, ‘There was a show in which I was replaced in just 3 days and I was not even told. I got to know from someone else. I felt very bad, I didn’t think I would be able to go again or shoot with those people. So I went into a shell for almost a month.’
Sunil further said, ‘Then I thought that maybe I would not be able to move forward from this, but then I don’t know if it was some kind of stubbornness that forced me to say, ‘It’s okay… let’s try one more time.’
After this, Sunil Grover did not give up and started doing voice-overs for radio projects. Recalling those days, Sunil said that he was always sure that he would definitely succeed one day. After this, Sunil earned a lot of fame by playing Gutthi in Kapil Sharma Show and after this he never looked back. Today Sunil Grover lives a lavish life.
